Take I-90/I-94 northwest, proceeding along I-94 as it splits off northward. Exit I-94 at IL 173 (Rosecrans Road). Turn left (west) on IL 173 and proceed for 13 miles. At Wilmot Road, turn left (south). The Chain O’ Lakes State Park sign appears on the left 1.7 miles ahead. Turn left 0.1 mile beyond the guardhouse, following signs for horse rental and horse-trailer parking.
